Based in McKinney, Texas, attorney Michael D. Curran concentrates his practice on family law, criminal defense and juvenile law. He has been licensed to practice law since 1983. Mr. Curran has spent his entire career in Collin County, beginning as a prosecutor in the district attorney's office. After working in the firm of district court judge Robert T. Dry, Mr. Curran formed the partnership of Jouette and Curran with Bill Jouette, a former Collin County judge, with the firm receiving the coveted AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.* After Mr. Jouette's death in January 1993, Mr. Curran carried on in the firm as a solo practitioner. During his career, Mr. Curran has taught criminal justice at the Collin County Community College and was a lecturer for the Texas District and County Attorneys Association and the Texas Justice Court Training Center.
Don McDermitt has been practicing law since 1978. After serving in the JAG Corps of the United States Army from 1978 until 1982, attaining the rank of Captain, Mr. McDermitt entered private practice in Collin County. An experienced defense lawyer, he has since appeared before state and federal courts in North Texas on behalf of his clients.
